Found Object Picture Mosaics.

The works I have created are seascapes and coastal scenes from a variety of things found and gathered over the years.

These pictures are semi-figurative images made from various materials, set into lime putty and white sand.

Once assembled the picture surface is worked to encapsulate each piece.

Once dry the picture surface is cleaned then paint and/or varnish may be added to enhance the perspective.

I currently work in Shepton Beauchamp in Somerset.

My artistic background is one of fine art, having sold and exhibited numerous oil paintings, mostly of woodland landscapes using exaggerated colours.

Until recently I was an art pottery decorator and painter working for over six years with Dennis China Works.

My mosaics are more impressionistic, attempting to capture the atmosphere and sparkling light of our coast using such things as might be found there combined with mirror and glass shards.

All commissions will be considered, so please contact me for more information.
